It’s Day 26 – and it’s a lovely easy one today! Scarves, handbags and jackets!
This really took just a matter of minutes – I was surprised at how easily I let go of old handbags, a sign of how far I have come in the challenge. The stumbling block for me was jackets – I LOVE big thick jackets, despite only needing them for a few short months each year. In my head, I think I am attached to the idea of living in a cold country where jackets, scarves and gloves are piled up near the front door. But the reality is that I really don’t need 12 jackets. Yes, you read that correctly, TWELVE!
I have to say that this Simpler Life philosophy seems to be changing my thinking on a deep level. I find myself window shopping as much as I used to – but there doesn’t seem that urge to BUY all the time, to shop myself happy, and to feel that if I have added something beautiful to my house that my day was somehow more productive. Instead, I seem to err on the side of NOTÂ buying anything (which if you know me, is something quite foreign!)
