I am beginning to think I suffer from a mild form of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), because I really “come alive” this time of year. I’m not sure if it’s the warmer weather or if the first blossoms of spring give me a sudden energy boost, but every September I feel the sudden urge to potter about the garden, divide and move plants (I even have planting blisters!), refresh my vegetable garden and drink my morning cup of coffee in my outdoor swing chair. It’s a fantastic time of year – and I love seeing the rewards of all my hard work as flowers burst into bloom and previous “dead spots” in the garden come alive.
As you already know, I am on a mission to create memories and not THINGS, so every spare cent I have is being put towards saving for trips or buying seedlings. There is precious little left over for buying decor items (my previous go-to exercise when I was feeling a bit down) – which means I’ve had to get creative!
