It’s Day 24 and we’re tackling your folded T-shirts (long sleeved and short sleeved) today!
We’re all guilty of having way too many T-shirts (unless you are way more disciplined than I am!) So for this challenge, it’s best to have a target number of “keep” items before you get stuck in! Remove all items that fall into this category from your various drawers and shelves, and create a huge pile on the bed. Have a look at each piece of clothing, one at a time, and decide if you both love it and will realistically wear it. Add remaining items to your donate pile.
At this point, your “keep” pile will need to be refolded and placed back in the cupboard/ drawers in a way that makes sense. I keep my gym shirts in a separate pile, another for tank tops, another for T-shirts and a fourth pile for long-sleeved shirts. But whatever works best for you!
The famous Marie Kondo has a special folding technique that she recommends for items being placed back into drawers. It’s a really interesting take on storage and allows you to see each item and remove one without creating a landslide. Not only will your drawers look similar to the image below, but your clothes will also remain smooth and wrinkle free. I’ll have to give it a try! Good luck!
